From Colonial Williamsburg to the Jamestown Settlement and the National D-Day memorial, Virginia is a state full of history. As a link between the North and South, Virginia offers a wide variety of historical, cultural, and outdoor activities. The state's mountains, parks, and beaches provide areas for relaxation; cultural institutions include the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond; and the national landmarks of Washington D.C. are in close proximity.
Health care facilities in Virginia and Northern Virginia/Washington DC are competing to hire fully trained nurses and medical technicians. Organizations like the Northern Virginia Health Care Workforce Alliance are working with Virginia medical training schools, hospitals, and other institutions to educate and recruit Virginia healthcare workers. There are several excellent Virginia training programs open for enrollment, like ACT College in Alexandria, Arlington, and Manassas and Everest College in McLean, VA. At these and other Virginia medical colleges, you can earn a 1-2 year associate's degree in a range of health care fields, such as pharmacy, dental assisting, and medical insurance billing and coding.
As Medical Careers take off in popularity, there are more and more competitive and comprehensive training programs surfacing across the country. Review the list of schools we have compiled, and select one that best fits your needs.
